Ayyyee fam I'm back and better than ever with a new laptop that inspired me to jump back in and so much new to share!! Well its been about 2 years since my last post... crazy. But everything about the last 2 years hasn't been anything less than crazy to be honest. Aside from the absurdity of 2020, let's back up and pick up where we left off. So Beginning of 2019 I left my job as a substitute teacher and started a new job at a non-profit organization in Cypress, TX called Cy-Hope. I currently serve as the intake specialist for the counseling center and also volunteer as the head of marketing for our new annual event called The Cypress Market. It has been a whirlwind as Dixie started daycare full time and I transitioned into working full time again. I absolutely adore my coworkers and the organization I work for. I turned 25 last summer and Will and I took another fun trip to one of our favorite destinations - Las Vegas! Speed up to the end of the year and we got pregnant with our second child! 2020 started out as a promising year as Will started a new job and we began preparing to not only have a second baby but a BOY at that! Little did we know that wouldn't be the only crazy change to our year. Obviously COVID took the world by storm and pushed us all into quarantine and this new crazy way of life. It made this pregnancy look and feel so different from my first with being cut off from the world and not getting to share all of the fun experiences with everyone like we did last time and especially with Dixie. I do, however, have such fond memories of the 12 weeks we spent in quarantine as a family. It felt like summer break almost. Although my husband and I were both working from home, we all still got to spend so much quality time together and really got to bond as a family before welcoming our baby boy. Our son, Carter Wade, was born on August 21st, a day I tried to avoid so badly, and also via my first ever surgery - a cesarean section (I'll spare youth details for another more in depth post). Despite all of that, he has just been such a light to us in these dark times. I honestly never knew I could love a baby boy so much! Following that, I just started back at work from maternity leave mid November. And now as we look ahead to the end of the year, we have more exciting news...we built a house!! As exciting as it has been, we only originally shared the news with a few close family members and friends as we didn't want to jinx anything since 2020 has already thrown so many curve balls. But we just got confirmation of our closining date set for December 15th! I can't wait to share all the details of our experience and pictures of our beautiful new home! Although at so many points this year it felt like we were just trying to hold our heads above water, I am really hopeful for the year to come. I am excited to get back to posting regularly and keeping everyone up to date on all things Taylor &the Williams' family! As always, thanks for taking the time to read and welcome back to this mess in a dress lol.
Love always, Tay.
